Have you ever gone in for a job interview and worried about what to wear? It's a common concern among job seekers, but even more so if you don't have the money (after all you need to have a job to earn money!) to afford a career-appropriate outfit. That's where the ConnectioN Point Career Closet comes in.
The Career Closet is for anyone who has an upcoming job interview or is starting a new position and needs career-appropriate clothes. We have a variety of donated, lightly-used (some brand new!) clothes for both men and women, appropriate for wearing to a variety of jobs. Not quite sure what you need for an interview or the first week of a new position? We promise to always have an individual there to help you figure that out, and pick just the right outfit!
While a few community-members have been served at the Career Closet already, it's public launch will take place on Sunday, May 6 from 5:30-6:30 pm with an open house during our May community dinner. After that, the Career Closet will be open each week on Wednesdays from 2-5 pm and Monday-Friday by appointment. Each individual will be permitted to select two outfits from the Closet to help them start off a new job on the right foot.
At ConnectioN Point we strive to help our neighbors get ahead and to eliminate barriers people face when trying to make a better life for their families. Our hope is that the Career Closet will help empower individuals to take that next step towards success and provide them with the resources to do so!
